Recognizes Sheba Among the World’s Best Hospitals for the 8th Consecutive Year

- Sheba Medical Center has risen to #7 in Newsweek & Statista’s prestigious
2026 World’s Best Hospitals ranking, marking the eighth consecutive year the
Israeli medical center has been included among the global leaders.
Sheba’s continued ascent reflects a dual
commitment: delivering world-class clinical care to more than two million
patients annually, while advancing systemic global transformation in
healthcare.
At the core of this transformation stands ARC
(Accelerate, Redesign, Collaborate), the global healthcare transformation

In 2025, ARC of Sheba Medical Center expanded

intelligence and large language models to explore the 98 percent of the human
genome that remains uncharted. This partnership reflects ARC’s role in bridging
computational science and clinical translation to unlock new frontiers in
disease prevention, diagnostics, and precision medicine.
Most recently, Sheba inaugurated the Roman
Abramovich Theranostics and Nuclear Medicine Center, expected to treat more
than 16,000 patients annually. The launch also marked the introduction of the
region’s first personalized RNA-based therapy — further demonstrating how
ARC-driven transformation translates scientific breakthroughs into real-world
patient impact.

The Newsweek/Statista World’s Best Hospitals
ranking evaluates over 2,400 hospitals across 30 countries, using a rigorous
methodology with four data sources: hospital quality metrics, recommendations
from medical experts, results from patient surveys, and Statista’s
Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) Implementation Survey. By capturing
data and perspectives from both clinicians and patients, the evaluation process
reflects how each hospital is leading in clinical research and improving
patient outcomes.

המרכז הרפואי שיבא, תל השומר, טיפס למקום השביעי בדירוג היוקרתי של Newsweek ו-Statista לשנת 2026 של בתי החולים הטובים בעולם (World’s Best Hospitals), ובכך מציין את השנה השמינית ברציפות שבה הוא נכלל בצמרת העולמית.
העלייה המתמשכת בדירוג משקפת מחויבות כפולה: הענקת טיפול קליני ברמה עולמית ליותר משני מיליון מטופלים בשנה – לצד הובלת שינוי מערכתי גלובלי בתחום הבריאות.
בלב המהפכה הזו ניצבת ARC (Accelerate, Redesign, Collaborate) – פלטפורמת הטרנספורמציה הגלובלית של שיבא. ARC מובילה את אסטרטגיית בית החולים לעיצוב מחדש של מערכות בריאות, הטמעת בינה מלאכותית בקנה מידה רחב ובניית מודלים עמידים ומוכנים לעתיד של טיפול רפואי.
באמצעות שותפויות בינלאומיות ומרכזי פעילות ברחבי העולם, מייצאת ARC מסגרות מוכחות לעיצוב מחדש של מערכות, תהליכים קליניים מבוססי בינה מלאכותית ותשתיות בריאות דיגיטליות שכבר יושמו ב"עיר הבריאות" של שיבא. מודל זה מאפשר לממשלות, לבתי חולים ולשותפים תעשייתיים לעבור משלב החדשנות לשלב היישום – ולהאיץ שינוי מדיד במערכות בריאות ברחבי העולם.

לאחרונה חנך שיבא את מרכז התרנוסטיקה והרפואה הגרעינית ע"ש רומן אברמוביץ', הצפוי לטפל ביותר מ-16 אלף מטופלים מדי שנה. עם השקת המרכז הוצגה גם לראשונה באזור תרפיה מותאמת אישית מבוססת RNA – צעד נוסף בהפיכת פריצות דרך מדעיות להשפעה ממשית על חיי המטופלים.

דירוג World’s Best Hospitals של Newsweek ו-Statista בחן למעלה מ-2,400 בתי חולים ב-30 מדינות, על בסיס מתודולוגיה קפדנית הכוללת ארבעה מקורות מידע: מדדי איכות של בתי חולים, המלצות מומחים רפואיים, תוצאות סקרי מטופלים וסקר יישום מדדי תוצאות מדווחות מטופל (PROMs) של Statista. תהליך ההערכה משלב נתונים ונקודות מבט של קלינאים ומטופלים כאחד, ומשקף את הובלתם של בתי החולים במחקר קליני ובשיפור תוצאות הטיפול.
